Otoor Grama Panchayat wins national award; third place in the country!

Otoor has achieved this great achievement in the list of Child Friendly Awards of the Central Government. This award is a recognition of operational excellence and development progress.
The best panchayats that have contributed to sustainable and comprehensive development in rural India were considered for the national award. Otoor Grama Panchayat received this historic achievement from among the approximately two lakh gram panchayats in India.
This historic achievement was achieved only through the collective work of the Grama Panchayat President G Jayachandran and the Secretary Sreelekha LH, Project Assistant Devadathan Dev, who is handling the Panchayat Advancement Index Section, Supervised Senior Clerk Sreeja S, Accountant Vishnu Prasad, Head Clerk Binu A, Assistant Secretary Jugunu AM and other life-saving executive officers.
The primary objective of these awards was to encourage and recognize the contribution of Panchayats in the socio-economic development of rural India and to motivate other Panchayats to adopt best practices for inclusive growth and sustainable development. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 50 lakh.
